Water Techniques is proud to announce our selection as the exclusive water treatment partner for the Aerie Villas development in Corona Del Mar, one of the most anticipated luxury residential projects on the Southern California coast. Spanning over 50,000 square feet across multiple residences, this project represents the kind of complex, high-specification work that defines our practice. Each villa required a fully customized water treatment infrastructure designed from the ground up to integrate with the architectural vision and the specific demands of coastal living.
The scope of work included whole-home water softening and filtration systems for each residence, dedicated reverse osmosis drinking water systems, and specialized lines for outdoor kitchens and entertaining areas. Given the coastal location, we also engineered corrosion-resistant plumbing connections and selected equipment housings rated for salt air exposure. The design phase involved close collaboration with the project architects and general contractor to ensure all equipment rooms, drain lines, electrical connections, and plumbing manifolds were planned into the construction documents from the earliest stages.
One of the distinctive challenges of the Aerie Villas project was the requirement for near-invisible integration. The homeowners and development team wanted water treatment performance without any visible compromise to the interior or exterior design. We achieved this by designing compact, vertically stacked equipment arrays housed in dedicated utility closets with sound-dampening enclosures. All point-of-use systems, including under-sink RO units and refrigerator filtration lines, were pre-plumbed during rough-in so that finished spaces remained clean and uncluttered.
Architectural water features at several residences required conditioned makeup water to limit mineral staining on stone, glass, and metal and to keep circulation equipment running cleanly. We coordinated pretreatment with the build team so treatment capacity matched expected flow and drain paths were planned from the earliest stages.
